Tongue Play

Elliott likes to play with his tongue these days.  If we stick out our tongue at him, he sticks his out too.  Jesse was playing with him last night and realized that if you squeeze his cheeks to make a fake smile, he sticks his tongue out.  Hope you find this to be as cute as we do!

School Pick Up

Elliott and I went on an adventure on Monday to pick up Ned from school.  This was my first time out and about with both boys.  I was feeling bold so we went to Home Depot.  Ned kept saying, "we're getting brown paint for Uncle Jess."  Unprovoked, he also said, "Uncle Jess is a good guy."  What two year old says that!  Here are some pictures.

Thanksgiving - Part 2

As promised, here are more pictures from Thanksgiving.

We started the day with a bath.  Elliott was a little fussy when I first put him in the bucket but quickly became very content.  He relaxed in the tub for a while after the wash down.  Note: for those who have not been to our house, the background is our lovely 70's linoleum floor.  You can get dizzy looking at it for too long.

Diaper changes were more fun yesterday with this combo underneath Elliott's overalls.  This was the first time he's worn shoes.  I love the chubby legs and knee socks!

Ned turning into a pumpkin, albeit a cute one, around his bed time.  I won't post the pictures immediately following this where he was wearing sunglasses and nothing else.  Hilarious for all of us but not appropriate for the internet in this era. 

Thanksgiving - Part 1

On this day, I am so thankful for the wonderful boys in my life.  This is the first holiday since our transition from a couple to a family and I couldn't be happier.  More pictures to follow tomorrow but I'm off to bed full of happiness (and lots of good food).

Elliott's socks have been falling off so I bought bigger ones this week - and they're knee socks! I think these are the cutest things I've ever seen, probably because they are on those cute legs :)

Here is a cute picture of the boys on the couch the other night. You can kind of see Elliott's awesome hair style. Many say he looks like Friar Tuck. Others call it a mullet. Either way it's pretty funny!

I have hands!!

Elliott has discovered his hands in the past week.  We are thoroughly entertained by watching and listening to him try to put his entire hand in his mouth.  Hope you are too!

Snow!

We had our first real snow today.  We had a dusting a few weeks ago but this was real snow - fat flakes, sticking to roads, limiting visibility.  Here is a shot of our driveway when we came home from a yummy sushi lunch.

Elliott was unfazed by the snow.  He slept in his bouncy chair while I chopped veggies for dinner. 

Two Months!!

It's hard to believe that Elliott is already two months old.  These months have gone by so quickly.  Here are some photos of Elliott today in honor of his two month birthday.  He is wearing his cute owl outfit from Jesse's Aunt Debbie and Uncle John.  Note that this outfit is 3-6 month size yet not too big on Elliott!  He's grown so much!!

More Smiles!

Elliott is very smiley now.  He is happiest after filling his belly and getting a clean diaper (who can blame him?).  We love this great time with our wonderful, smiley, talkative, happy baby.  He was especially playful on Sunday morning.  Jesse and I were next to each other looking at him and he looked back and forth between the two of us.  Here are some great pictures of Elliott smiling at Jesse.  I love these pictures!  And my boys!

We also tried out his bumbo chair on Sunday.  He's pretty good at holding his head up but we stay close by.  I think he'll be able to sit on his own in this in the next few weeks.

11/11/11

Elliott and I had a day out and about with Holly yesterday.  Ned joined us for part of the day but napped and played with CoCo and Poppy for the afternoon.  Here are some pictures from our morning stop off at CoCo and Poppy's house.

Elliott slept for 7 hours in a row last night!!  What a treat for Jesse and me!!

Smiles

In this post, I wrote about Elliott's first smiles.  He smiles all the time now.  Each smiles brings us joy.  I finally caught some smiles with my camera yesterday.  I hope they brighten your day too!

November Picnic

We took advantage of our 65 degree day yesterday and went to Chestnut Ridge Park for a picnic and walk.

As usual, Elliott slept through our outing.
