Relaxing Weekend

We stayed close to home this weekend as I nursed a nasty headcold. Wow, I will never take sudafed and other strong cold meds for granted. But I don't want to drug our little boy!

Elliott rolls over in both directions now. Gone are the days when we could put him down in one spot and be sure he would stay there. We put him on his back on his activity mat yesterday morning and came back to find him off the mat on his tummy.
Who? Me?

Elliott in his "big boy" shirt in the big chair. Jesse noted that he can't get away with tucked a button-down shirt into sweatpants. I'm thankful for that! We have about 50 years before that becomes acceptable attire for Jesse.

I LOVE this picture! The smile. The crossed ankles. Wow, I love our kid!!

A new perch

Elliott found a new perch this evening - on Daddy's shoulders. If you look really closely, you can see a string of drool from Elliott's mouth to Jesse's head. I'm sure it's the first of many shoulder rides -- with drool.

Heeeellllllloooooo!

Little baby, big couch.
And now, at 8:45 pm on a Friday night, we're off to bed. Yep, we're cool.

New bed!

Elliott started moving around much more at night over the last week.  Instead of waiting for him to starting hanging on the sides of the bassinet, we took it as our cue to move him into a real crib (aka baby jail).  We just put him down for his first night in the crib.  Hope he sleeps well!

Trying out the new digs

Checking for lead paint.  All clear!

Too big for the baby bed now

A little tummy time after putting the crib together

Happy smiles

Not happy anymore.  He looks evil!

And now he's disgusted with me and my camera.

Bronskis

Some people call them raspberries but we call them bronskis in my family.  Elliott keeps us entertained with his bronskis and talking.  You may be able to see how he tries to sit up at the end of the video too.  He's so strong!

We are three again!

After many, many hours of travel, Jesse arrived on Saturday afternoon.  We are so excited to have him home!

Laughing with Dad

Big smiles for Aunt Jen (in the cute booties she made him for Christmas)

I was completely disturbed by this and had to take a picture.  Elliott was mesmerized by the TV.  He and Jesse were both watching football.

Unlike Jesse, Elliott was interested in commercials too.

Playing with Dad

More playing

What?

Wow, Dad.  Your finger taste good.

Oh, wait.  So does mine!

?!?

I'm done!  Put the camera away!!

Spinning around

Elliott isn't exactly jumping in the Johnny-Jump-Up but he is spinning around.

Showing his St. Andrew's pride in a shirt from Anne Davis.  Thanks, Anne!

Spending a little time on his tummy this morning.  He's wearing a special outfit to go pick up Jesse at the airport today.  Yes, those are Carhartt overalls!

Good morning!

Smiley, happy little boy!!
Why is he so smiley?
He successfully slept his first night unswaddled.
Most importantly, Jesse is coming home on Saturday!!  We're thrilled!!!

We both survived.

Today was Elliott's first day at his new day care.  I'm pleased to report that we both survived.  He was napping peacefully when I picked him up and the teacher reported that everyone loves him.  Not surprising since he's so wonderful!

Here he is sleeping in the big bed this morning.  I'm testing him without swaddling to see how he does.  He looks so cute in the sleep sack!

Playing with his texture ball from the Hannas in Colorado

Look at those chins and cheeks!

Sunny Sunday

Sunday was beautiful here.  We finally got snow on Friday.  We have about six inches at our house.  It glistened today with the bright sunshine and clear blue skies.  This is the view out our front door.

Elliott and Ned late this afternoon

Elliott and Mama.  Aunt Holly knit this beautiful sweater for Elliott for Christmas.  She is so talented!!

Giving hugs

And kisses

We went to a birthday party today for Elliott's friend Charlotte who turned 1.  These glasses were in our favor bags.  Doesn't he look thrilled?

Seriously Mom?  What are you doing to me?

Saturday at Coco and Poppy's

Elliott and I visited with my parents, Holly, Ned, and our friend Gabby at our favorite bakery in East Aurora this morning.  Then we went to Elma where my lovely parents played with Elliott while I closed my eyes for a few minutes.  Thank you!! Elliott had good play time on this cute activity map from our good family friend "Uncle Esteban."

Working on rolling over.  I love his pudgy legs and the knee socks.

How 'bout that fish!!

He was getting kind of mad and pushing his butt up in the air.  I think it looks really cute!

Hello!

Pulling the bear in for a little snuggle
