Bowling and Such

Lucy is getting more and more animated every day. She talks all the time and is even finding her yelling voice (eek!). Cute talking . . .

More time in undies.

"Percy underpants!!"

Another pretty dress on a cold and snowy day.

We had so much fun bowling for Jesse's birthday that we decided to go again on a random Thursday night. Tim, Laura, Kaitlin, and Henry were able to join us for this last minute activity.

Elliott and Henry bowling. Henry turns two in April.

We had the place to ourselves at the end. Good thing since I'm pretty sure this is frowned upon.

But it was so cute that I had to take a picture before asking Elliott to get out.

Undies, Baking, and Dinner with Elisa

One of the ways we encourage (read: bribe) Elliott to use the potty is with his Thomas underpants. He gets very excited about them.

His booty looks so little without a diaper.
We've only worn the undies a few times, and not with great success. But they sure are cute!

Lucy and I often hang out in the car so she can eat while Jesse and Elliott go into Wegmans. She is quite the smiley girl these days. 1/25/14.

Elliott and I have been having fun baking these days. He likes to pick and add the ingredients. I let him pick between different kinds of flour, sugar, and oil. Interestingly, he always picks the healthier option (whole wheat flour, turbinado sugar, coconut oil).

Say pumpkin muffins!

A couple of Sundays ago, we had some new friends coming over for dinner. Unfortunately, three quarters of their family was sick and they had to cancel that morning. I already had dinner in the works so I called Rachel to invite them over for dinner. We joked that they got "new friend dinner." You know, the extra yummy dinner you make for new friends. Diego insisted that we call them any time new friends have to cancel.

Elisa and Elliott play beautifully together, as we learned when they were over a few months ago.

They both wanted to ride in the Cozy Coupe at the same time. They squished in there and Diego took them for a loop around the house. Elliott wore the hat from his Thomas Halloween costume the whole evening!

They made quick work of the playroom at the end of the night.

Mess? I don't know what you're talking about. Who? Us?

Trying to get both of them smiling at the same time . . . first Elliott.

Then Elisa.

Going in for a snuggle.

Reading together.

There we go! Look at those friends!

TOES!

Lucy loves her toes these days. She really enjoys lying on the changing table since it presents time to play with those toes. Pictures from 1/23/14.

Right in the mouth!

Poppy says that he might be able to get in this position but would have to go to the hospital to get back to normal.

Is this a phone foot?

Hi there, blog readers!

Flashback to Elliott on 2/6/12. Any chance these two are related?!?

Back to a Family of Four

Jesse arrived home after two weeks away. While it wasn't easy, we survived without him (with a great deal of help) but were thrilled to have him home.

Lucy likes to play in her jumper now. She turned her head around to look at Elliott.

Elliott riding the daddy horse.

Jesse and I were honored to attend Hollyn's baptism. My mom watched the kids while we got out. We brought one of the beautiful cupcakes home for Elliott and he got it after he finished his dinner. The lengths he went to to not touch the frosted were hilarious.

How Elliott eats a cupcake.

Success! He managed to pick the cupcake up and leave all the frosting on the plate. Just when we thought he was starting to like frosting!

Haircut time!

Elliott is excited to get his haircut now. Quite a change from last year!

Wide-eyed after nap in an outfit suitable for spring.

Toes! Lucy loves her toes (there is an entire toes post coming up soon).

This sweater was mine when I was wee.

I have to remind myself to cherish these moments of peacefulness. I love my snuggles.

Lucy - 4 months

Flash back to Lucy's four month photoshoot. I missed taking pictures on the actual day since Elliott was sick and Lucy responded poorly to her shots that day.
Four month stats:
14 lbs, 8 oz (70th percentile)
25 3/4" long (94th percentile)

Lucy when she was happy again on 1/20/14.

1/21/14. Sibling love.

Elliott was really excited to hold Lucy.

So proud! You can see how Lucy is trying to sit up.

28 months. 4 months.

Full of laughs and smiles!
