Little boy in the big city

Here are some more pictures from our time in NYC last weekend.  After Claire's baby shower on Saturday, we went to Brooklyn to see Tocker and Ginger at their apartment.  Tocker is our adopted brother.  They were so wonderful to watch Elliott while we were enjoying the shower.  Of course I had hoped he would nap nicely for them but Elliott had other plans.  I now know that he had an ear infection which explains his special behavior.  In my many trips to the city, I had never been to Brooklyn.  It's my new favorite spot!  I'm looking forward to going back with Jesse to explore more and, most importantly, see good friends.

Tocker and Ginger have amazing views from the roof of their building.  We took lots of pictures up there.

It was a bit windy up there! The tallest building is the new World Trade Center building, currently under construction.

We left their apartment and ventured out around their neighborhood.  Brooklyn feels a lot like DC or Philly - lots of green space and brownstones.

Beautiful hydrangeas

This awesome carousel is right along the river.  It has big glass doors that open in nice weather and close to allow for use in adverse weather.  Interestingly, there was one child on the carousel and all the other riders were adults!

Elliott found a new teething toy at dinner . . .
