What do you get when you combine 1575 miles, an 18 month old toddler, and an 18 week old fetus? One intense road trip! This past Monday, we packed up and drove to Colorado to Jesse's family. We left on Monday at 12:30 pm and made it by 11 pm on Tuesday night. We made great time! Elliott was a trooper. We stopped every couple of hours (or less) so he could run around. Fortunately, he is at the age where he is easily entertained by running around in the grass for 20 minutes.
Road trip snacks at our first pit stop. This stop was very exciting for Elliott as he saw his first real train! Choo choo!
Pushing all the buttons in the car.

We drove late into the night on Monday night before finally stopping for a hotel. We got about four hours of sleep before Elliott was up and ready to go again. This is him eating breakfast at the hotel before getting on the road again. Elliott likes to have his milk and his water within arm's reach. He insists on drinking his milk with the spout on the "uphill" side. We don't understand it but it works for him.
Playtime at a souvenir shop in Missouri. Elliott had great fun and the ladies working there fell for his charms.
