Happy Anniversary & Last Day on the Big Island

On August 5th, we celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary.  It feels like our wedding was yesterday and forever ago at the same time.  We still reminisce often about that wonderful summer night.

We also enjoyed our last day on the Big Island.  We spent the morning at this beach.  Nice . . . but not as nice as this one.

After nap time at our condo, we went on a lengthy beach walk along Kiholo Bay.  Elliott enjoyed his favorite perch (he spend a lot of time up there these days).

It looks like a nice road but was actually sand beach that was quite tiring on the legs.

We found this great retirement home on our walk.  Looks like a nice spot, right??  Apparently this was built by Paul Mitchell of hair care fame.

The beautiful Kiholo Bay (this pictures do NOT do it justice).

Cool tree

We saw several turtles.  They don't get boring.

Looking down the deserted beach in nice afternoon light.

Good bye, Big Island.  Kauai, here we come!!
