What happens when you give a toddler chocolate cake . . .

We're back home from our Colorado trip now. We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends but it is really nice to be back home. I still have quite a few posts to catch up from the rest of our trip.

After Salida, we went back down to Denver. We visited and had dinner with Jesse's Aunt Debbie and Uncle John but sadly did not take any pictures. Sorry guys! The next day, we hit two of our favorite Denver spots: SOL (the lingerie store where I used to work) and Sushi Den. We opted to get dessert after Jesse spotted a very delicious looking chocolate cake on another table. Elliott was a big fan. Here he is eating the cake:

He was in an especially outgoing mood at lunch, making friends with the waiter and neighboring diners. We went for a brief walk after lunch and then got in the car to head back to Grandma's house. Our plan was to have Elliott nap in the car. But, the chocolate cake had another plan. This is the aftermath of the chocolate cake:

Crazy. He did crash hard after a little bit.
