We met friends for a zoo date at the beginning of August.
The gorillas are always a hit.
It's kind of hard to see with the glare but that is the big male gorilla lying on his back on the left and a female with her one year old baby on the right. The baby was born less than a week before Lucy.
Elliott got his first lesson in climbing trees from Liz and Octavian.
We rode camels at the zoo when we were little. Now there is just this statue.
Look who we ran into at the zoo! Colton! They had much more fun than it appears in this picture.
Riding the train with Constantine and Octavian.
Mama, can I go on the train?
The baby rhino came out to play. It was so cute!!
Elliott helped make pizza that night. Unfortunately, it was gross. But, that wasn't Elliott's fault.
Lucy found a new perch - Dutch's water bowl.
She also climbed up on one of the snack table chairs for the first time. She's getting so big!
In the bowl again.
We went to the Red Caboose for ice cream after dinner. Elliott found his new favorite flavor, chocolate with chocolate and more chocolate.
With Laura and Jesse out of town, we spent a lot of time with Tim that weekend. He gave Elliott a lesson in ice cream cone eating.
We met Tim for a run at Emery Park the next morning. There was a man walking through the park on his horse. I excitedly showed Elliott the horse and the man offered to let Elliott get up for a picture. Very fun!
Relaxing post-run. Kudos to Tim for pushing the double stroller 75% of the run. They are not a light load!
Elm Street Bakery donuts. Yum.
Night on the town for John and Laura's wedding.
