Children's Museum of Denver - Part 1

We are taking advantage of being in a new place by taking in some sights. On Friday, we spent the morning at the Children's Museum in Denver. Elliott loved playing with everything!

There was a full sized fire truck inside.

Riding shotgun. Note that the Thomas hat is still attached to his head.

I'm not sure who had more fun at the ball exhibit - Elliott or Jesse. The vertical thing in the foreground is a vacuum tube that sucks up the balls. They travel along the green wire track along the ceiling, down the plastic tube against the wall, and then on whatever path you build along the steps and floor. Elliott is watching the ball saying, "Oh, ball!"

Putting more balls up the tube.

Helping the balls along.

Working with Daddy.

I finally had to turn his hat around so I could see his face!

From the balls, we went briefly over to another area but were overwhelmed with big kids so we moved on to the grocery store. Elliott enjoyed it but I have to say, it did not hold a candle to the mini Wegmans at the Strong Museum in Rochester. With this information and the fact that a real Whole Foods does not sell freshly squeezed orange juice, I can confidently say that Wegmans is better (since I'm sure you all were wondering).

Elliott found full carts that other kids had left behind and put everything away.

We helped show him the correct spot but he made sure they were all right side up.

From the store, we went to a neat backyard play area. There was a big "hill" to climb with a slide that went into an underground tunnel area. Not ideal for pictures, especially with all the big kids nearly plowing the little guys over.

Then we went to play with the trains. Elliott loves "choo choos" these days. I love how handsome he looks in this hat! Fear not, the Thomas hat is underneath this one.

Leaning into the train tracks.

There was a big room dedicated to bubbles. I took a lot of pictures in an attempt to capture some of Elliott's great facial expressions.

Huge bubbles!

Big smiles when he would touch one and it popped.

Follow by big laughs.

He got to make big bubbles with Grandma.

So happy.

I really like this one.

There were too many pictures to fit in one post so stay tuned for Part 2!
