EA Chicken BBQ and Fire Truck

Last week, we went to the Kiwanis Club chicken BBQ at Hamlin Park in East Aurora. We hadn't been to it before so we were unsure of what to expect. Wow! They crank out the chicken and it was delicious. Elliott gnawed on a whole chicken thigh with such enthusiasm that the photographer from the local paper took his pictures (I haven't checked to see if he made the paper yet).

Sitting with Daddy.

Going in for more fruit.

Who needs a playground when you can climb on Daddy?

I like this one. He looks like a caterpillar.

Snuggles.

After the end of the food, the BBQ company left the hot coals and the fire department came to extinguish them. We excitedly took Elliott over to see the truck and the steam. "Hot!"

Elliott really wanted to get in the truck and the firefighters kindly allowed him to get in.

You can see the love in this shot.

For the next two or three mornings, Elliott woke up in the morning and "fire truck" was the first thing out of his mouth. He was clearly very impressed by his experience in the truck. We're excited to take him to see Connor's fire truck soon too.
