Memorial Day Weekend - Part 1

We spent Memorial Day Weekend up at my family's beach house in Canada. It was our first overnight of the season. It's great to be back up there! The weather was a bit chillier than ideal but it was sunny most of the time. Quite the change from the 85 degree days we've been having recently.

First trip down to the beach. Elliott walked down all of the stair.

Pure joy for the sand and dump truck.

He immediately starting dumping sand on his head. There will be many baths this summer.

Climbing up on the rocks.

Jump! He says "jump" as he's going.

He only nailed one landing but the sand was forgiving.

Our peaceful view.

Elliott's dump truck was on its last legs and he got a little frustrated.

Like peas and carrots.

These boys are going to have a blast playing together on the beach this year.

The dump lost its bed. Fortunately, Aunt Hol was there to help retrieve the bed.

Mike being sassy with Penny's new tiger from Maggie.

Husband.

Penelope, Claire, and Scott came up from NYC for the weekend. We had family dinner on Saturday night to celebrate Claire's 30th birthday. Penelope was all smiles, all weekend. I honestly cannot remember her letting out even the smallest cry.

Elliott was repeatedly putting this small basketball up on the doors. Maybe he can see a hoop that the rest of us cannot?

Apparently there were no candles to be found so Claire got sparklers on her cake. It was beautiful!

The Larson Family!

Penelope was all smiles for Ned. This picture also captures Ned's level of energy and movement (non-stop) for most of the weekend.

Another post to follow with more pictures from the weekend.
