Holly, Leigh, and I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for our wonderful friend Danielle last weekend. Danielle is due a month after I am with her first baby. We hosted the shower at my parents' house in Elma (my party venue) and convened there on Friday for a day of preparation. The morning was relatively calm and productive while Ned and Elliott were out and about with a babysitter. Penny played on the floor and Hollyn, Leigh's one-month-old, slept quietly. Chaos returned in the afternoon when all the kids were up and running around (sweet baby Hollyn had gone home). Poppy and Coco arrived for a brief stopover before going out for dinner.

Coco retreated to the bath before dinner. We responded by putting all three kids in with her. She was surprised at first but of course loved being surrounded by her brood.
