Elliott's 2nd Birthday Party - Part 1

We celebrated Elliott's birthday with a small party last weekend. Similar to his two-year checkup, we did his birthday party over a week before his birthday so it was farther from my due date. Leading up to the party, Elliott talked about his "choo choo party." Since the party, Elliott has been talking about his "cupcake party." He also talks about his "happy to you cards."

I owe a big thank you to Eva, Jen's mom, for taking most of these pictures so I could fulfill my roles as hostess and mom.

Decorations and cupcakes.

This balloon is now at our house and Elliott calls it "the number two."

Cookie favors and Elliott is two cards.

I found a choo choo t-shirt the day before the party and it was perfect for the day.

We planned on lots of outdoor activities for the kids since the weather forecast looked great . . . until the morning of the party. It ended up raining all day. Holly had the great idea to make macaroni necklaces and have coloring.

Ned and Elliott making their necklaces.

Elliott's cousins Aby and Henry making necklaces.

Dean and Sophia hard at work. Leading up to the party, I would ask Elliott who was coming. His response was always "Luca, Sophia, Dean, Sarah." His list ended there. The Rugnetta family ranks high.

Penny was eyeing the noodles.

Ted and Jen went straight to a wedding so they came in style!

Elisa and her beautiful eyes.

We were so excited to have the Larsons in town for the party. Pretty Penelope.

Getting ready for cupcake time.

Elliott was really excited when everyone started singing to him.

Fire!

Going in for the first taste of these delicious cupcakes that Aunt Hol made. Thank you, sister!

Two more posts to come to get all of the pictures up!
