Stripes and Snuggles

With semi-matching outfits and big smiles, I couldn't resist taking pictures of these two. Lucy's outfit is a hand-me-down from Hollyn. Elliott's sweater was a Christmas gift from the Ortmans.

This is what it looks like most of the time.

Proud big brother!

We had a brief thaw in mid-January that allowed us to get outside for a walk. It has been too cold this month to play outside so it was great to get out. Poppy met us in town for a stroll and to help with the kids and dog. Dutch is a great dog but is not leash trained so he is a handful in town. I can either have the stroller or the dog, but not both. Thanks, Poppy, for the help! We were just starting out walk when we saw a very exciting sight in one of the big town parking lots. [Notice Elliott is still donning his headlamp.]

A loader filling a big dump truck with snow!! This was over two weeks ago and it is still a regular topic of conversation.

After our walk around town, we went to the lovely Roycroft for lunch (our normal stomping ground, Elm Street Bakery, is closed on Mondays). When Lucy woke up and I opened her cover, her bonnet was on completely backwards.

Elliott calls this his "handsome sweater." I couldn't agree more!

I took this picture of Lucy in her "I love daddy" onesie and then forgot to email it to him. It's the thought that counts, right?

Way back in March, Elliott expressed some interest in the potty. We didn't push potty training then and he has been really anti-potty for the past few months. Well, he is warming up to it again, thanks to the promise of stickers. Here is my attempt at censorship.

Lucy has found her feet!! This was 1/15/14. Elliott found his feet around the same age.

We were at Coco and Poppy's house when these adorable shoes that Holly ordered arrived for Penny. Naturally, Lucy modeled them to send a picture to Aunt Hol.
