Betsy and Henry invited the kids and me to join them at the Saturn Club for brunch and meeting Santa. We had a wonderful time. The morning started with kid-friendly food.
And crafts.
Elliott snuggled right into Betsy when Santa arrived.
Lucy kept her distance but peeked around a chair to see Santa. I love this picture!
There is a wonderful picture of me as a little girl on these stairs. I half-attempted to recreate it.
Me on the same stairs circa 1984/5.
Soon enough, our table was called up to meet Santa. (Bonus points for the organizers for calling tables up and not having people stand in line!!) Santa knew the names of each child. Henry had lots of questions for Santa, especially about his reindeer. Santa explained that the reindeer were at the Buffalo Zoo and the zoo keeper kindly loaned his car to Santa for the day.
Our kids were less than thrilled to meet The Big Man.
Elliott did a bit better once he realized there were presents involved.
The cousins gathered on the stairs to play with their new toys. The little girl on the lower left looks enough like Penelope that we decided this would be a cousin shot.
Henry gave Lucy a lift.
Cookie decorating.
Thanks to Betsy and Henry (and Robert and Janie!) for a great day!!
