Claire and Penelope stayed in Canada for an extra week so we could have fun cousin time and Claire could have extra relaxation before officially starting her RN program (go Claire!!!). We went to the zoo one afternoon. Penelope and Elliott cleaned up the hay in the pretend chicken coop.
Riding on the carousel.
Plus side of a late afternoon visit? We had the place to ourselves.
Downside? Almost all the animals were asleep or indoors.
Three cuties on a rhino. Yes, Lucy and Penelope are wearing super cute matching outfits!!
Lucy wasn't so sure of it all.
P and E had a blast!
Matchy matchy!
We had beach fun, too.
The dark sand is full of iron particles (random geo facts).
Snuggles with Daddy.
My loves.
Lucy climbed up all of the stairs from the deck to the house!!
I had to stop by Elliott's school during the day and was able to observe his class getting ready to go for a walk. I've always wondered how the amazing teachers handle so many kids when I struggle with two. They lined up (Elliott is third from the left) and counted off. "Duck tail" hands so they all keep their hands behind themselves.
Ready to go!
Out for a walk.
We went to Hidden Valley Animal Adventures again. Back to the petting zoo. Elliott stayed close to Jesse since he had a run in with a biting miniature horse during our previous trip.
Feeding the long horns.
Penelope got in on the action.
All those empty cups were full of food when we set out.
Taking in the view after our animal ride.
Cheese! Pickles!
Penelope says "pickles" instead of "cheese" for pictures. Elliott has been saying "pickles" since her visit!
Lucy helped with the landscaping.
