Roaring Camp Railroad - Fenton, CA

From Calistoga, we went south to Santa Cruz for five days of fun. Jenny and Andrew hosted us in their new home. Alice, Eric, and Lila came from Durango, too! We all worked in the Antarctic Program back in the day. It was so fun to be together!!

Lucy testing out the bicycle basket.

We went to Roaring Camp Railroad in Fenton to see trains and big trees. We were last in Santa Cruz in 2012 and went here during that trip.
Jenny, Alice, Lila, Eric, and Elliott. Is Elliott selling tickets to Alice in jail??

Lila and Elliott, checking out the redwoods.

Waiting for the train to arrive.

The anticipation.

It was loud!

Look at that beauty!

Elliott and Aunt Jenny White.

Elliott was excited and a little intimidated by the engine.

The conductor was very helpful and answered lots of questions.

Elliott and Lila in a mini barn.

We went back into the trees after seeing the train.

Alice and the bigger kids.

I reached out and took this picture without looking. Pretty cool!

The Hutts inside a burned tree.

Taking a break while we explored the burned tree.

Lila, Lucy, and Elliott. The kids are already great friends from our visit in Salida.

Alice.

The park was full of great places for the kids to explore.

It's so easy to get a picture with all three of us looking at the camera.

A little better.

Family shot.

"Pickles" doesn't make for the best picture faces.

The Hutts.

My babes.

Peekaboo!

Elliott's photobomb.

Running is so much more enjoyable with this view . . .

And these running buddies!
